What is this Club?

Valenzuela City Computer Club (VCCC) is envisioned to be a social, civic, and advocacy group of computer/ICT experts and enthusiasts currently residing or who have interests in the City of Valenzuela, Metro Manila, Philippines. The group started out as an online social thread at TPC.

Proposed Purposes

Listed below are the proposed purposes of our org:
  1. To foster camaraderie and esprit de corps among computer experts and enthusiasts in Valenzuela City;
  2. To conduct ICT/computer-related trainings and seminars for members' development in particular and for other other local residents in general so as to bridge the digital divide in Valenzuela City;
  3. To work hand-in-hand with other organizations whether government or private, national or local, domestic or international in bringing the benefits of ICT to the people of Valenzuela City;
  4. To promote and provide assistance and other benefits for and among bonafide members particularly in times of special or emergency needs; and,
  5. To be the collective voice and advocacy group of the members concerning the policies, rules, and regulations of the local governments units on ICT/computer-related matters.

Proposed Membership

Below is the proposed guidelines on who may join the org and related ideas. Please comment. Any feedback is welcome and appreciated.
  1. Open to anyone at least 15 years old;
  2. Mahilig sa pc, kasama na mga walang muwang sa pc operations pero adik sa pc games at internet surfing;
  3. Willing to meet new faces, virtual or actual, and willing to socialize (not necessarily by dining & dining & dancing);
  4. Would like to develop personal knowledge and skills on ICT matters; and,
  5. Would like to cooperate in bringing ICT awareness and benefits in Valenzuela City.
Membership shall be classified as follows:
  1. Junior Members - minors between 15 and 17 years old whose legal guardians/parents gave their consent to the free membership;
  2. Regular Members - members who are 18 years old and above, financially supports the organization on voluntary basis, but with no voting rights; and,
  3. Voting Members - members who religiously pay their dues, regularly attends club meetings and functions, and are entitled to vote on club matters, unless otherwise suspended/terminated as may be provided in the By-Laws that may be adopted by the club when it will be duly constituted.
